Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Mr Max Designs (“we”, “us”) for your use of Weekscope. By creating an account or using Weekscope, you agree to them. If you use Weekscope on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.
What Weekscope does
Weekscope helps you keep a daily log of your work and turn it into weekly status reports. Reports are generated from what you log; you’re responsible for reviewing them before you share them. Weekscope never adds work, blockers or commitments you didn’t record. Students can use it to study instead (Weekscope for students): subjects, deadlines and exams, a focus timer and a weekly review of their own.
Your account
- You need an account to use Weekscope. Keep access to your email, Google or GitHub account secure — it’s how you sign in.
- You must be at least 16 to use Weekscope. If you’re under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
- An account is for one person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed yours.
- You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
Your content
You own the entries, reports and other content you put into Weekscope. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to provide the service to you.
Only record information you’re allowed to keep. Many employers have rules about confidential information — follow them. Don’t store passwords, API keys, access tokens or other secrets in Weekscope.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights using Weekscope;
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or probe, scan or overload the service;
- upload malware or use Weekscope to send spam;
- resell or copy the service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
Availability and backups
We work hard to keep Weekscope available and your content safe, but we can’t promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. For records that matter to you, keep your own copies using the JSON and PDF exports.
Changes to the service
We may improve, change or stop parts of Weekscope. If we plan to shut down the service, we’ll give reasonable notice so you can export your content.
Studying with Weekscope
If you use Weekscope to study:
- Your school, college or university’s rules come first, including its rules on academic honesty and on using AI. Weekscope helps you plan and keep track of your study; it doesn’t do your work for you, and prompts you copy from it are yours to use responsibly.
- Play fair on the leaderboards: only log study you actually did. We may remove anyone from a leaderboard who games it, and reset their points.
- Deadlines and exam dates in Weekscope are reminders you set yourself. Always check the real dates with your school or teacher; we aren’t responsible for a date that was entered wrongly.
- When schools and teachers can set up classes on Weekscope, they’ll agree to terms of their own about what they may see and how they treat students’ information. We’ll update these terms before that happens.
Organisations: closing and deleting them
Starting an organisation in Weekscope means agreeing to how organisations are closed and deleted:
- Its admins can’t delete it directly. They ask us to, with a reason; from then it’s closed — members can’t send it reports, the admin space shuts and it can’t be reopened — and we delete it, emailing its admins when it’s done.
- We may delete an organisation for inactivity, negligence, misuse or breaking these terms. We always give notice first, usually 30 days and never less than 7, in Weekscope and by email to its admins, with the reason. Its admins can agree or disagree; disagreeing pauses the notice until a person has read why. Without an answer, it’s deleted when the notice ends, after a reminder a week before.
- Deleting an organisation removes everything it holds: who was in it, its invitations, the reports sent to it, overtime requests, messages, tasks, activity and settings. It can’t be undone. Everyone’s account and own log stay theirs.
Its admins can also move an organisation to a new one: everyone (with the same roles) or just them, and its history or a fresh start, as they choose. What isn’t moved is deleted with the old one; everyone’s own log stays theirs.
Before an organisation goes, its admins should download the reports they need and tell their team.
Ending your use
You can stop using Weekscope and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk; where reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to export your content.
Disclaimer
Weekscope is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t give warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Weekscope. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Weekscope in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we’ll update the date above and let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Weekscope after that means you accept the new terms.
