Website design and development
Your website is the first thing most people will learn about you. I design it to be clear, build it to work on everything, and hand it over finished — a prototype, a full site, or the one you already have made better.
Design & Prototype
For a site designed and built as something you can actually click through — before anything is wired up behind it.
- Website structure and user flow
- High-fidelity UI design
- Responsive desktop and mobile layouts
- Built as a working front end, not a flat mock-up
- A clickable demo you can share and play with
- Developer-ready handoff if someone else takes it on
You end up with a site you can open, use and show people: real screens, real interactions, nothing connected behind them yet.
Full Website
For when it needs to be a real site — one that stores things, signs people in and talks to other services.
Everything in Design & Prototype, plus
- Backend development
- Database setup where the project needs one
- Accounts and sign-in where the project needs them
- Forms, dashboards and custom functionality
- Third-party integrations
- Deployment and launch support
You end up with the whole thing working and live, with seven days of support behind it.
Custom
Not a packageFor whatever the project actually is — starting from nothing, taking the site you already have and making it better, or one piece on its own.
- Start fresh, or build on what is already there
- Redesign an existing site, or polish the one you have
- A prototype or the full build — whichever the project needs
- One page on its own — a landing page, a campaign page
- A design system or component library on its own
- Finishing or fixing a build somebody else started
- Adding one feature, or an accessibility, performance or SEO pass
- Changes and additions as the project goes along
You end up with the project finished, whichever shape it took to get there.
The figure depends entirely on what the project turns out to ask for, so it is quoted once we have talked it through.
The two priced packages are what a standard project of that kind costs. Anything with more in it than usual, or shaped differently, is quoted once I know what it needs.
How pricing works
Two fixed prices, and one that depends on you.
Design & Prototype and Full Website cost what they say. A standard project of either kind is that figure — not an estimate that moves once work begins.
Custom is the one that changes, because it is whatever you ask for. That one is quoted after we have talked, and these are the things the figure turns on.
What moves the price on a custom job
- How many pages the site needs
- The features and functionality behind them
- Whether there is a backend and a database
- Third-party services to integrate
- How complex the work is
- How much of the design is custom
7 days of support after launch.
Every development project comes with 7 days of support from the day it goes live. If something I built is broken in that window, I fix it — at no extra cost, however long it takes.
A bug is something that was meant to work and does not. A feature is something the project never included. The first is mine to fix; the second is new work, and I will tell you which one it is before I quote for it.
After the 7 days
- New features and functionality are quoted separately
- Further design changes are charged separately
- New pages, or significant changes, are treated as new work
- Ongoing maintenance can be arranged — see below
Optional
Keeping it running, after.
Some sites are finished when they launch. Others want someone to keep an eye on them. If yours is the second kind, we can arrange that separately — monthly, hourly, or job by job, whichever suits how you actually work.
Ask about maintenance- Website updates
- Bug fixes
- Content and design changes
- New features
- General technical support
